Visions become Reality
Exhibitors from 32 Countries Present the
Latest in the Field of Hydrogen and Fuel Cells
Powering cars, buses, laptops with decentralized, pollution-free produced electricity or even becoming your own energy-producer: such possibilities lie just ahead of us through the means of hydrogen and fuel cells.
The Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells in Energy Hall 13 at the HANNOVER FAIR 2006 (April 24-28) offers a unique opportunity to touch and test many new products in this emerging industry.
The Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells is the greatest and most international presentation within its field. This April, organizer Arno A. Evers and his team will bring together 125 exhibitors, Forum participants and Hydrogen Ambassadors from 32 countries: over 400 representatives from established firms, middle-sized companies and recognized research institutions. Thirty-two flags will decorate the 3,000sqm exhibition area, demonstrating the worldwide importance of this theme.
Here you’ll find just a few highlights of this international event:
The first-ever Hydrogen Ambassadors Exhibit: 12 winning team from an international competition who will bring their ideas from India, Canada, the USA, Argentina, Italy and Germany to exhibit at the largest industry fair in the world. These Ambassadors, ranging in age from 16 to 62, will present their innovative ideas for the commercialization of hydrogen and fuel cells at their individual booths.
MTU CFC Solutions has developed and is manufacturing a molten carbonate fuel cell with a capacity from 250kW to 3MW for decentralized energy production. The “HotModule” fuel cell system is powered with biogenous gases such as methane from purification plants, liquid manure, and herbal biomass. MTU CFC Solutions’ current project: installation of a “HotModule” at Hamburg’s harbor city.
The young Danish company H2Logic will display its “H2 Truck”, a development especially for the niche market. The emission-free vehicle is intended for use in office buildings, airports and hospitals.
The Norwegian exhibitor Hydro will showcase its wide spectrum of achievements as an innovative energy company. Among other things, Hydro will inform visitors about “HyNor”, the Norwegian hydrogen highway. By the end of 2006 Hydro expects to open its hydrogen fueling station in Porsgrunn, 150 km southeast of Oslo.
Shuttle buses using Hydrogenic Corporation’s fuel cell system are already up and running in the European Emscher-Lippe model region. One such shuttle bus is expected to be at the HANNOVER FAIR as well.
Homemade hydrogen – Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems will be serving it up at HANNOVER FAIR 2006 with the new “Mini-Ely”. This appliance can produce up to 100 L of hydrogen per hour and is equipped with metal hydride storage.
These are just a few examples from the broad spectrum of top-level exhibits you will find at the world’s largest Group Exhibit, April 24-28.
