Wanted: New Ideas for Hydrogen and Fuel
Cells
New ideas are wanted for innovative applications of
fuel cells powered by hydrogen or other energy carriers!
Now, after an initial euphoria, a certain stagnation
seems to hang over the hydrogen and fuel cell community.
At the moment, significant steps in applied research
and consumer marketing are no where to be seen. Thus
the “Hydrogen
Ambassadors” International Competition intends
to reveal fresh new ideas for hydrogen and fuel cells.
The Prize: the selected Hydrogen Ambassadors will win
a free booth at the next HANNOVER
FAIR, April 24-28, 2006!
Arno A. Evers,
from Starnberg, Germany, founder, owner and operator
of the worldwide biggest and most international Group
Exhibit on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells at the annual HANNOVER
FAIR since
1995, states: “I am convinced that new ideas
are sleeping in the minds of young people around the
world. Like students for example, entrepreneurs, and
people who, at the first glance, may have nothing to
do with hydrogen and fuel cell technology. School children
get excited when you challenge them and interact with
them on a high level. Before this year’s HANNOVER
FAIR in April, we
gave 12 experimental kits to high school students in
my hometown of Starnberg, and we are eager to see
what they will create with these kits.”
To become a Hydrogen Ambassador, an individual or a
team must submit their idea in a 1,000 word essay and
complete the online form at www.hydrogenambassadors.com.
Twelve participating teams from 4 different age levels,
with a maximum of 3 members per team, have the chance
to win a free booth at the HANNOVER FAIR from April
24-28, 2006.
All teams participate alongside the 125
international, commercial exhibitors, receiving
the complete “Full Service Package” which
includes: a 20-minute Forum Presentation, Internet photo-documentation
on the H2/FC Group Exhibit 2006 website, and Networking
Evening Events with the 300-400 international exhibiting
representatives from the Group Exhibit. On the last
day of the fair, one team of Hydrogen Ambassadors will
be chosen by the attending H2/FC experts of the Group
Exhibit for the best and most innovative idea at the
HANNOVER FAIR 2006.
