The VAILLANT-HEPWORTH Group is the most
international manufacturer in Europe, and
offers the widest product range for heating
appliances. The emphasis clearly lies on
the energy source gas: for wall-hung heating
appliances alone the yearly sales amount
to over 2 million appliances. A future market
is seen in fuel cells for domestic co-generation
(Micro CHP).
Achievements
in 2001:
The takeover of Hepworth plc has now been
completed. The total number of staff comes
to 9,100 (7,300 in the heating industry).
The combined yearly turnover amounts to
1.7 billion Euro. The new group operates
production sites in Germany (5), France
(1), Great Britain (1), Italy (1), Slovakia(1),
the Netherlands (1), and Spain (1).

FAIR 2002: Together with Plug
Power Vaillant presents the latest generation
of a domestic Fuel Cell Heating Appliance
FCHA designed for European multi-family
homes and small business applications. The
systems are being tested in German houses
since december 2001 and will demonstrate
reliability and sturdyness in standard heating
installations.
