Company Information
Company
Interest:
OMG is one of the world´s leading
producers of innovative metal-based specialty
products. One focus is the precious metals
processing, management and technology. OMG
is one of the few precious metals suppliers
worldwide. Using its experience in catalyst
technology OMG´s goal is the development
and manufacturing of the key fuel cell components:
protonics fuel processing catalysts, elyst
electrocatalysts and pMembrain membrane
electrode assemblies (MEAs).
Achievements
in 2001:
OMG AG based in Cleveland, Ohio, acquired
dmc² AG from Degussa AG in 2001. The
new business unit OMG AG & Co. KG was
founded. It is focussed on precious metals
management, processing, automotive catalysts,
technical materials, catalyst and fuel cell
technology. OMG AG & Co. KG put the
first serial production line for MEAs in
Europe into operation in September 2001
with a capacity of about 30000 MEAs/month.
OMG AG & Co. KG was certified according
to environmental certifications ISO 14001
and EMAS II in december 2001. The construction
of a second production facility in Hanau
was also started in 2001.
News
at HANNOVER FAIR 2002:
Standardized protonics fuel processing catalyst
and pMembrain MEA products that are taken
from serial production lines.
OMG´s core competencies: precious
metal and catalyst technology, coating technology,
mass manufacturing capability, quality and
environmental management

catalyst by OMG for Hydrogen generation
and purification. The products presented
on the top shelf of this picture are
called pMembrainä. PMembrainä
MEA's (Membrane Electrode Assemblies)
are tailored for each customers application
and manufactured in OMG's continuous
production line using their broad range
of coating technologies. |
