OWI Oel-Wärme-Institut gGmbH, based
in Aachen, Germany, was foundet in 1998
as a non-profit company. OWI focuses on
performing and promoting research in the
field of heat and combustion technology.
Research projects are partly carried out
in close cooperation with Institutions of
the University of Technology in Aachen (RWTH-Aachen).
In the last years, OWI has developed innovative
Systems for reforming liquid-fuels for fuel-cell
applications.
OWI is qualified in fuel-purification processes
(desulfuration of liquid fuels), various
types of synthesis gas production processes
(TPOX, CPOX, ATR, SR) and synthesis gas
purification (Shift, PROX).
