leading supplier of oil and energy, light
metals and plant nutrition. Based in Norway
the company is operating in more than 70
contries worldwide. The annual operating
revenue is approx. 20 billion Euros. Hydro
energy is responsible for Hydro's commercial
operations relating to electricity, crude
oil, gas and NGL products. We are also responsible
for Hydro's power production and refinery
operations, in addition to the transport
of oil and gas. With the hydrogen unit and
Norsk Hydro Electrolysers a part of Hydro
Energy, all commercial energy activities
are gathered.

at HANNOVER FAIR 2002:
Norsk Hydro has decided to promote hydrogen
in new energy markets by establishing a
hydrogen unit in Hydro Energy. At the HANNOVER
FAIR we present our unique concept of combining
windpower for hydrogen producton and our
electrolyser technology and fuel cells for
power production at the windy island of
Utsira off the Norwegian coast.

It is a power supply project based on a
combination of Hydrogen Fuel Cells Electricity
and Wind Power Energy.
