Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder
visits the Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells
On April 15, 2002,
Gerhard Schroeder, the German Chancellor, visited Arno
A. Evers FAIR-PR's group exhibit "Hydrogen + Fuel
Cells" at this year's HANNOVER FAIR. The Chancellor,
accompanied by Michael Rogowski (president of the BDI),
asked many questions about the development of hydrogen
and fuel cell technology and its commercialization at
the booth of Vaillant GmbH, one of the 96 "Hydrogen
+ Fuel Cells" exhibitors.
Kai Klinder, Marketing Management Fuel
Cells of Vaillant GmbH, explained to Gerhard Schroeder
how their Fuel Cell Heating Appliance works. Kai Klinder
discussed with the Chancellor the issues regarding political
and financial support, not only for the enterprise Vaillant,
but especially for the component suppliers during the
development phase of this Fuel Cell Application.
The Chancellor also spoke to Dr. William
D. Ernst, Vice President and Chief Scientist, and other
representatives from Plug Power, Albany, NY, USA, a
company designing and developing on-site electric power
generation systems.
During his visit, Arno A. Evers, organizer
of the Group Exhibit, reminded Chancellor Schroeder
of their meeting at the last HANNOVER FAIR. Mr. Evers
fascinated the Chancellor by pointing out the exponential
growth of his Group Exhibit from 10 to 96 exhibitors
between 1995 and today.
