SAIC and key parts companies, Shanghai Fuel Cell
Vehicle Powertrain Co., Ltd. successfully unveiled
a fuel cell car prototype “START II” with the
support of the National 863 program – fuel cell
car. The power configuration of prototype “START
II” with the reborn water-cooling fuel cell power
system is 40 KW fuel cell engine as main output
which equipped 15AH Lithium battery and the peak
power is up to 60 KW.
The prototype “START II” has a maximum speed
of 116 km/h, the accelerating time (from 0 to
100 km/h) of 25 s, the fuel consume of 1.05 kg/100
km and the vehicle range of 190 km.
