The german
digital library 'eVerlage' is a service provided by scienfific
publishers. The use of fultexts is based on licences, which
can be electronically bought by libraries as well as by individuals.
The eVerlage project is funded by German Gouvernment within
the 'Global Info Program'. Prof. Klaus Bastian presents the
extensive functionality of the system.
Prof.
Bastian and Frank Oldenettel demonstrating the various possibillities
to aquire document licences. A short time licence enables
access of max. 1 hour and a single licence of more than half
a year. At this time eVerlage offers about 100 titles.
A new
method of electronic payment ist PayBox, which allows the
user to perform financial transactions by using the personal
mobile telephone. Shortly after initiating a transaction the
mobile phone rings and asks for authorisation with a PIN.
Mr. Oldenettel demonstrates the ease of use.
