Prof. Gerd Kaupp of the University of Oldenburg, coordinator of the project GLOBAL INFO - Data-Interactive Publishing: "Public research must be made freely available."

Prof. Kaupp: "Disclosure of full data is essential for all fields in science, from archeology to zoology."

The unpublished research data must be disclosed for everybody. Prof. Kaupp: "Mankind cannot afford the loss of the scientific data upon publication of the results."

Dr. Thorsten Fröhlich of Labcontrol Software Development GmbH develops a software that creates the platform for interactive publishing.

Why don´t we have all of that already? Prof. Kaupp: "All technical tools for the interactive treatment of data are available at every site of high-tech data production. What we need is the world-wide exchange of the data, but all parties must cooperate."
