The Hydrogen-Initiative Bavaria (wiba) has been founded in 1996 by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport and Technology. Main target is the development and support of hydrogen and fuel cell technology in Bavaria. The wiba Coordination Center assists companies concerning initiation and conception of hydrogen-projects. Furthermore wiba developes a long-term strategy for supporting hydrogen technology.
