Company's Interests :
The French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player
in research, development, and innovation in the fields
of energy, defense, information technologies, communication
and health. It is involved in a major R&D program
on new energy technologies: Hydrogen and Fuel Cells,
photovoltaic and energy storage, energy efficiency.
The Hydrogen program covers the entire Hydrogen issue:
production, storage, use and distribution for the three
main domains of applications, i.e. stationary, transport
and portable with priority given to fuel cell systems,
PEMFC and SOFC. The program is conducted in relationship
with industrial partners, French and European projects.
In this frame, CEA is collaborating with French industries,
especially Air Liquide, PSA Peugeot Citroën but
also Helion, Atofina.
Achievements in 2003:
Compressed Hydrogen storage: development of advanced
plastic liners with enhanced gas barrier performances
Solid oxide Fuel Cells: Development of a small
prototype
Micro Fuel Cells: Development of an innovative
technology, achievements of long term performances
at room temperature (30 mW/cm²)
Collaboration agreements with Atofina and IFP
News at HANNOVER FAIR 2004:
Exhibits of micro fuel cell,
Hydrogen storage tank, PEMFC stack, biomass gasification
process.
